Lest I Forget

notes from a midlife muser - grabbing those thoughts before they turn to memory mush

Falling Down

ouch. I , err, fell out of a tree yesterday. Not as spectacular as the mountain fall (300m/900ft down an ice slope aged 17), or as embarrassing as the more public slip off the causeway at Coverack, Cornwall into the sea. But a fall nonetheless and one that's taken most of the skin off around my cheek (and close to the recent operation scar) , also skinned and bruised my right leg, sniffle. And all this from about 4ft up the tree - how rock and roll. How obsessive. I've become hooked on the Flickr service and the need to get photos of even the most mundane dog walk (as this was) at crazeeee, arteeee angles.

What you do at work today dad?

Well kids , I contributed to a pitch research session by running like the fat boy I am in a 3 legged race and then an egg and spoon race. No, really.
Different age and life-stage, same humiliation. We better get the business.

I'm an uncle once more! :)

A wee bit strange coming after the last sad post but booking in and checking out is , err, essentially the pattern of life.

My bro Garry and Rachel had a girl yesyerday - Meredith Annie. Meredith comes from the welsh (I think) for " protector of the sea " (and may be a rachel family name, I know not) and Annie was our Mum's name. Everyone is doing well bro says.

Thats it, just a smiley burst of recording.
