Lump

Went to see the nice Mr Martin-Hirsch at the terrible to park in Huddersfield Royal infirmary and he tells me I have a benign tumor in my neck. The same one he saw some months ago and wanted to keep an eye on to see if it got bigger/caused more pain for me. It has, both of those things.. So its coming out. The Left Partial Parotidectomy (say that at speed) seems pretty straightforward and shouldn't result in loss of muscle control o that side of my face, so that's good then. But my ear lobe may well be always numb after the operation, which is really bizarre. It not a show stopper though, this tumor is keeping to itself so I'm very pleased.

Totally unrelated but whilst I'm thinking, I spent a few hours recently around Leicester and Coventry as Lian was attending university interviews at both. Up shot is - she prefers the course at Coventry. Dad criteria of good shops, what Looks to be good nightlife venues and quality of Mums attending same day had Coventry ahead by quite a few points. Not a basis to decide 3 years of education, so lucky Lian gets to choose her own collage eh?

UGH , 2006

Where did the millennium go? it was 1999 and we couldn't wait for 2000 and now its.. whoa.. 2006!
And where did this past year and teh enjoyable Christmas holiday in Whitstable go?
I'm back at my desk (in the office from 7.50 this morning to beat the traffic) and fully immersed in the paperwork, job trafficking merry go round that pays the mortgage and feeds the kids. Enough said ... Like most of the fortunate world who can earn a living I have post holiday blues so no need to bang on about it.

HURRAY , 2006

Art exhibition in June (or is it May -- yikes) , plans to go back to France this Summer and also hopefully some writing to get done as well as the completion of Lian and Joe's respective exam years, lots to look forward to (they may not think that on the exam front of course, heehee) this year. So enough moaning already, bring it on :D
