Lest I Forget

notes from a midlife muser - grabbing those thoughts before they turn to memory mush

the only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud

... So goes the first line of Overkill and I have to agree with Motorhead on that one.. It WAS loud and it WAS good. What was even better, at the Manchester Apollo last night, was that I had Lian and Joe standing with me. I was just behind them so they weren't too embarrassed by the old man headbanging (in a gentle 40 yr old way), guitar playing and phantom drumming to the back catalogue ;-)
It was a great night, having been into them since I was 15, it was just short of spiritual having my teenage kids there with me and for both of them to be into it. Smiling as I type this.

Gig blog

Sat on top car park of men arena with 8 floors of cars beneath me so I,m going nowhere. A corporate night with anatacia, despite the lack alcohol, friends or family she was good. She puts on a good show, a couple of sticky 'children are our future' moments but we got through it as a crowd.
And what a magnificent figure, the lady ought to be on some discovery channel show, there's something big cat about her.
Since starting this on the blackberry I haven't moved. Yikes.

Should add that this grid locked top deck affords a good view of Manchester on 'plot night', with sound of fireworks all round echoing off the Boddingtons massive chimney and the blue-bathed CIS tower.

Blog over and no sign of the 1000's of fans ahead of me moving. Arse.
Doh, thinking of Anatacia again. :-)

Scot Blog

Scotland... Haven't blogged the Scottish half term holiday which was last week. Just Anita and I with ronan. He was a very good holiday companion, some serious egg head discussions, mingled with very good insights on life as he sees it and a great dry sense of humour mingled with silly fart jokes, lovely stuff. Very proud dad I am.

blimey that's a lot

according to the very silly www.yournotme.com, there are 687 Mark Kellys in the Uk (based on 2001 census info).. that's got to be out by now, based on the human condition of birth and death - but probably still around that number? What a lot.

thanks to Tony Weasel Monkey Boy Wood for sending me the site link.
