that old chestnut

Gingerism: I haven't banged on about this for a long while but I caught some prattle on BBC radio one yesterday evening that got my blood up (again).. Wes (?) a Dj was making jokes about "non-complements" and thought that 'you've got really nice ginger hair' and ' guys with ginger hair' were cracking examples of ironic, non-complements. ha bloody ha.
I did my righteous anger bit (oh dear) and sent in txt to the station straight off.. You couldn't (rightly) take the piss out of afro hair, black skin etc .. So why the seemingly socially acceptable gingerism.. It causes bullying and unhappiness, particularly having DJs condone it. Moron.

I ran a blog a couple of years ago (http://gingerism.blogspot.com/) that had even more spectacular rants on ;-)
I'll leave this one at that though.

all work and no play etc

don't want to carp on about work but it's been a busy time and my head has been full o targets, deadlines, team reviews, dept splits, dept re-joins, new business plans, loss of a great project manager (that’s you jazzyB) and new starters. And crap commuting due to unseasonable (crap) weather. end of work talk. Still enjoying the gig though, a challenge but I like to see the projects go live, the work get applauded and the money come in (cue megalomaniac chuckle).

Couple of weeks off soon (Cornwall) so I hope crap weather becomes sublime weather. And work head switches off for family fun and chilling a bit.
