Lest I Forget

notes from a midlife muser - grabbing those thoughts before they turn to memory mush

The Wolf has landed

We got the dog 3 weeks ago. We named her Brodie and she's a cross breed (Alsatian/fox/hound/wolf/collie thing).
I started this 30 minutes ago but have been out twice for her to poo/sniff/listen to the owl/ listen to some bark dog a distance away. She doesn't bark much so neighbours can't curse me at such a late hour. She craps sometimes in the house (we think she has a tummy bug and have forgiven her like the indulgent parents we instantly became with her). And I seem to have a lost a leetel weight due to all these walks - cool. Said Wolf is sleeping at my feet as I type... time for my bed also I think.

tis time ...

.. to hang the paintings I've been creating over the past few months (okay, mostly weeks). Anita is going to help me put them up at The Mechanics Institute (Marsden) tomorrow morning. Looking at them I'm quite pleased, multicolour thought poos.

I'm hoping to sell some as it's nice to feel someone connects with what you put out AND we can start our going_to_see_Richard_and_Gina_in_USA fund :)

For the sake of blogness I think I should mention some historical facts:
In the past few weeks, I had my Appendix whipped out, I discovered I have a kidney stone, Joe turned 14, Ronan turned 10, I turned white at turning 40, we decided to get a dog (maybe tomorrow) and I visited Garry_Bro in London, which was great. Lian did well at a singing competition, she has a lovely voice.

And I discovered ebay - oh god.. I've become a collector of tin Robots. I'm now 40 so that's okay isn't it?
