Lest I Forget

notes from a midlife muser - grabbing those thoughts before they turn to memory mush

Village Life

I'm off work today, so amongst DIY, car service and picking up some of my old paintings from there last hanging space, I booked a checkup at the Doctors.. the little lump in my neck is still there, still aches but Doc thinks it's a blocked gland, so nothing 'bad'. Which is good.

Anyway, this blog is to note the comedy of being surrounded by (slightly grumpy) old ladies in a hot waiting room, listening to a muzak version of the Carpenter's 'on top of the world'. chuckle.

aaah ... The sun shines through our dining room window - hurrah.
The Play ('here') went on, on Friday night. It was the 13th so could have gone pear shaped (superstitiously speaking) but it was good. In the Library at the Mechanics, Marsden (that's west Yorkshire, UK if you stray here from elsewhere). I had some nice comments from those there. Okay, most were friends but they could have been critical i"m sure and they seemed pleased.
Now on to the art exhibition - 12 blank canvasses staring at me as I type. OH god. If I glance at then I'll have to start painting. Don't look.....

2 days off work - hence the late night. Back to the art, but still distracting myself as I'm designing an Otter (celtic-stylee) tattoo for Tim. Fun but tricky. Laters.

we are not alone

seems we dozen or so Mark Kellys are not alone... just found another 52 on GenesConnected, the geneology spin off from FriendsReunited. "Smart"/"oh no" ... both muttered by me one after other when they came scrolling up the screen. if you are one of them and reading this... hello dear chap.
