lump update

Doctor says it's a blocked lymph gland, may shrink, may be chronic (?) and stay awhile. Not life threatening.
The Liver irregularity though, shown up on the blood test for the Lymph gland is a bit concerning. She was a bit vague on that, but I have to go back in 6 weeks for another blood test to see if the big organ’s chemical output is still a bit naughty. 6 weeks to go chasing down spurious medicinal facts on dozens of web sites ;-)
And, no, I don’t drink much. Or dabble in powdery nonsense etc.
more millions coming my way

fantastic. not only will have I millions of USD$ rolling into my personal account from some very nice people in Nigeria, I have now had an exclusive, confidential email ogffer of many many millions more from Iraq:
"Please if you are interested kindly sent an email to me so that i can give, you the modalities. Please note this transaction should be at utmost, secrecy for the safety of this transaction.". Oh bugger. I can't strike it rich . I don't know what modalities are.

Lump it

A small lump in my neck/jaw area has grown slightly of late and aches a bit so I went to see the doctor yesterday. I've got some antibiotics, a blood test appointment fro tomorrow and some anxiety about what it could be. That said, i don't think it is anything dire - even though I've done as we all do and run some death bed scenarios over night. Desperate though I am to avoid commuting and working for the next 20 years, it isn’t how I want to achieve that avoidance. It does focus the mind a bit though - what if it was 'serious lump' as opposed to a gunky gland -what would I do differently, what could I change now for a better life in the future? I don't know - but I may start thinking of a few solutions.

Next Exhibition: April 2004

Time to get the project management skills (hmmm) to use and plan my next exhibition, at the Marsden mechanics next April.
I've got a good idea of a couple of routes to take - one sculpture/photographic (photographic as the ultimate display of the work as it's hanging space only there). The other route is paint based. I'm going to apply to the Arts Council for a grant - though there may be an exclusion cause as I don't live in a garret and I do earn money in my day job (day life that should be).
I'll blog the progress of the grant application though, as I know you will all be interested in that. :)
The sculpture, if it happens will be based on a large (7 or 8 foot) wicker cane and paper man, to be illuminated internally - placed in the rural/urban landscape.
I can post-rationalise the concept (and will have to for the Grant app) as it works for me on different levels (comers-in to a village, human impact on nature, alien invasion as it were, my ever changing home towns as a child etc etc) but essentially, it would be fun to do.
