Acting Up

So, the play was on last Friday night and looks like we'll be doing it again (at a 'proper' theatre) as it got (really) good reviews from all those there.
I had a few qualms, like wishing I'd continued weight training over winter for the bit where my shirt came off; like letting oldest and second born see the rape scene (tho not too graphic I suppose, bad enough though).. that to one side it was a great experience. Without false modesty, I think I can act, shame I didn't twig that years ago pre-college. Doh.
The worst bit of the process was watching the video autopsy last night at Tom's house. I didn't hear a word of the dialogue on screen, to busy focusing on the lack of hair, the man breasts, the high voice .. and people found my part threatening?! why??
Possibly going back to weight training tonight, easy does it as don't want a cardiac in my enthusiasm. It'll take a few sessions to get the bug again I'm sure but I'm looking forward to it. I'm reading John Edward’s latest book , interesting commentary on the media/TV machine - putting aside the psychic stuff. all I get from Anita's side of the bed is snorts when she sees me reading it.. :)
